Minnesota Singles Guide: Dating Without Apps In the Twin Cities

If you’ve spent any time on dating apps lately, you’ve probably heard the same frustrations over and over again.

For many people, online dating has started to feel exhausting. Instead of meeting someone naturally, it can feel like everyone is judging each other based on a few photos and a couple of sentences.

And honestly? A lot of people say they simply feel better meeting someone in real life.

The good news is Minnesota actually has quite a few ways to meet other singles without relying on apps.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Daycation?

A Daycation is for folks who want to make relaxation and adventure a regular part of their lives without needing to book a flight or take a week off of work! It is a mini-vacation that is still semi-close to home. It’s everything you want from a vacation without too much commitment!

What if I want to be out of town for several days?

We sometimes love a longer trip too! You will often find we have written several itineraries for one city that you could use to mix and match and plan a longer staycation. Another option is to choose two cities that are near each other and combine our suggested itineraries! Happy traveling!

What do I need to bring on a Daycation?

That’s a great question! We have an entire blog that can help set you up for success and have you ready to go whenever you have a day to hit the road! Find it HERE

How do you choose where to go?

This depends largely on where you begin your travel, how much travel time is available and if we are planning on staying the night or if the entire trip needs to occur without spending the night in accommodations. I live in Central MN so if I am wanting to lay my head in my own bed by the end of the night I usually try to choose a city between 1 hour to max 3 hours away. If longer then I’d want to consider including a place to sleep in my plans.

Are your recommendations family-friendly?

Absolutely — many of them are! It really depends on the itinerary. Some Daycations are perfect for families and little ones, while others are designed with adults-only adventures in mind. Don’t worry — each trip will be clearly labeled so you’ll know exactly what to expect before you go!
